TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 KEYSTONE FUZION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V561000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE CONTACT SMELLED AN ODOR COMING FROM UNDER THE FRONT OF THE CAMPER IN THE STORAGE AREA. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE TRANSFER SWITCH INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DECLINED THE RECALL REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

TL-THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 KEYSTONE FUZION RV. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH A STANDARD GENERATOR. THE TRANSFER SWITCH MODEL NUMBER WAS IOTA ITS-50R. THE TRANSFER SWITCH OVERHEATED WHICH CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE INTERNAL WIRES AND MELTED THE TRANSFER BOX. THERE WERE NO FLAMES VISIBLE. THERE WAS A RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V577000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THERE WAS NO MILEAGE. JS

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 KEYSTONE FUZION. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V651000 (SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRIC). THE CONTACT NOTICED A STRONG BRAKE ODOR WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT LOST THE BRAKING ABILITY AND CAUSED THE REV TO GO INTO AND EMBANKMENT DESTROYING THE FRONT AND REAR AXLE AND THE FRAME WAS BENT. THE RV WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.

NOTED THAT AFTER FIRST TRIP, TRAILER BRAKING WAS WEAK, REPORTED TO DEALER WHO STATED IT HAD TO BE MY TRUCK. ANOTHER TRIP AND LOST ALL BRAKES TO TRAILER, AGAIN TOLD IT WAS NOT THE TRAILER. UPON INSPECTING UNDER THE UNIT MYSELF I FOUND THE BRAKE WIRES COMPLETELY ABRADED THROUGH. THE WIRING FOR ELECTRIC BRAKES WAS ROUTED TOO CLOSE TO REAR SIDE OF TIRES. WHILE DRIVING, THE TIRES MADE CONTINUOUS CONTACT WITH TIRE AND WERE ABRADED THROUGH. THIS LEFT 2 OF THE 3 AXLES WITHOUT BRAKES. THE 3RD AXLE WAS WEARING THROUGH AND PICTURES ARE ATTACHED. NO UPGR…

2010 KEYSTONE FUZION TOY HAULER. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEMS WITH CAMPER AND RECALL CONCERNING OVERHEATING OF LUGS AND DEGRADING OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE GENERATOR, SWITCH, WIRES, LIGHTS SCREEN DOOR, FUSES AND FUEL PUMP WERE REPLACED.

The contact owns a 2021 Keystone Nexus Viper. The contact stated that while hauling the water and gas tank, the weight caused the suspension and the frame to bend since the Gross Vehicle Weight rating was incorrect. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with nothing needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle performed as designed. The contact received no further assistance. The failure mileage was 500.

WE WERE IN THE GIFFORD PINCHOT NATIONAL FOREST TRAILING OUR UNIT. THIS WAS ON A NICELY PAVED ROAD, NF90 NORTH OF COUGAR, WA. HAD TO TURN AROUND SO WE COULD FIND A PLACE FOR THE NIGHT, AND DID SO AT A T INTERSECTION. I GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK TO INSURE SAFETY AND GUIDE MY FIANCE'. I NOTICED THAT THE WHEELS DID NOT LOOK RIGHT. I CALLED MY FIANCE' OUT OF THE TRUCK TO LOOK. HE AGREED, BUT SAID WE NEEDED TO GET THE TRAILER STRAIGHT WITH THE TRUCK BECAUSE WE HAD TWO INDEPENDENT AXELS.
