NOTED THAT AFTER FIRST TRIP, TRAILER BRAKING WAS WEAK, REPORTED TO DEALER WHO STATED IT HAD TO BE MY TRUCK. ANOTHER TRIP AND LOST ALL BRAKES TO TRAILER, AGAIN TOLD IT WAS NOT THE TRAILER. UPON INSPECTING UNDER THE UNIT MYSELF I FOUND THE BRAKE WIRES COMPLETELY ABRADED THROUGH. THE WIRING FOR ELECTRIC BRAKES WAS ROUTED TOO CLOSE TO REAR SIDE OF TIRES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 KEYSTONE FUZION RV. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT APPLIED EXCESSIVE FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE WIRES WERE TOO LONG AND RUBBED AGAINST THE TIRES, WHICH CAUSED THE FAILURE. ELECTRICAL WIRING IN THE UNDER BELLY OF THE RV IS ROUTED AND PINCHED BETWEEN THE FRAME CROSSMEMBERS AND WASTEWATER HOLDING TANK. THIS CREATES FRAYING OF THE THE ELECTRICAL WIRE COVERING WHICH IS RESULTING IN THE WIRES BEING BROKEN AND RESULT IN FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK. WIRING SHOULD BE RAN IN A MANNER WHERE IT IS PROTECTED FROM BEING PINCHED AND/OR WEARING ON METAL CROSSMEMBERS.*DT *DT*JB CONSUMER STATED KEYSTONE WANTED THE CONSUMER TO BRING IT IN FOR WIRING INSPECTION.*JB *DT*DT*JB

16V908000 · Structure:Body:Door:Hinge And Attachments
Reported: 2016-12-16 (December 16, 2016)
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2017 Keystone Carbon and Raptor fifth wheel recreational trailers, and 2016-2017 Fuzion and Dutchmen Voltage fifth wheel recreational trailers. The affected vehicles have rear cargo door hinges with welds on the hinge pin and hinge plate that may be insufficient, and as a result, the top of the door may swing down with more force than normal.
Consequence: If the door does not open as expected, there would be an increased risk of injury to those in the door's path.
Remedy: Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ramp door hinge, free of charge. The recall began on January 13, 2017. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 16-274.

Reported: 2017-11-22 (November 22, 2017)
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Keystone will notify owners and instruct them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Reported: 2018-09-20 (September 20, 2018)
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Keystone Impact and Fuzion recreational trailers. The wiring for the electric brakes may contact the tires or wheels, causing damage to the wires, potentially reducing the trailer's braking ability.
Consequence: A loss of braking ability can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the wiring for damage, making repairs as necessary, install wiring protection and re-route the wiring, free of charge. The recall began October 22, 2018. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 18-330.
