Owner report 10224228 · 2008-04-11 (April 11, 2008)
MY 2007 JAYCO SENECA MOTOR-HOME WAS LEFT AT AN ARIZONA DEALER FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS. WHILE AT THE DEALERSHIP AND APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS AFTER I DROPPED IT OFF THE MOTOR-HOME STARTED ON FIRE WHILE TURNED OFF AND PARKED. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT A MAIN WIRING HARNESS IN THE REAR BATTERY COMPARTMENT RUBBED THROUGH THE PROTECTIVE COATING AND CAUSED A SHORT STARTING THE FIRE. THE DEALERSHIP SUBSEQUENTLY CHECKED ANOTHER CUSTOMERS JAYCO MOTOR-HOME AND DISCOVERED THE SAME PROBLEM EXISTED BUT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD NOT YET RUBBED THROUGH. MY MOT…

Owner report 11047640 · 2017-11-20 (November 20, 2017)
2008 JAYCO SENECA ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. RV PARKED IN RV PARK WITH SURGE PROTECTOR. THE RV LOST ALL POWER TO ALL OUTLETS BUT ONE. AFTER MULTIPLE CHECKS OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, IT TURNS OUT THAT THE IOTA-50RG TRANSFER SWITCH BURNED OUT. THERE WERE NO UNUSUAL LOADS OR MOVEMENT. THE HOUSING OF THE UNIT BURNED AND BURNED THE POWER SIDE RED CABLE IN HALF. I CALLED JAYCO AS WELL AS WENT TO THE LOCAL DEALER AND WAS MOCKED. I WAS TOLD THAT I SHOULD KNOW BETTER TO BELIEVE A ALLEDGED DEFECT SHOWN ON THE INTERNET IS REAL. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATE…

11/13/ 2007 GAUGES BEGAN TO LIGHT UP OR NOT WORK. CONDITION HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE, LEADING TO THE POWER TRAIN FUSE TO BLOW WHILE DRIVING, LEAVING ME WITH NO POWER STEERING AND LITTLE BRAKES. THE CLUSTER GOES, I ONLY HAVE THE SPEEDOMETER WORKING, WHICH AFFECTS MY EXHAUST BRAKES AND MY ELECTRIC BRAKES THAT CONTROL MY TRAILER. GOD FORBID IF THE FUSE BLOWS WHILE IN THE MOUNTAINS WITH A TRAILER. *TR

Owner report 11430671 · 2021-08-26 (August 26, 2021)
Issue 1. RV plumbing system poorly designed and installed allowing Grey-water tank damage and unsafe and unsanitary sewage leak. The Grey-water tank was not engineered with close enough tolerance in the mounting structure to prevent shifting during normal driving conditions allowing the tank to uncouple from the mounting rails, breaking the plumbing fixtures and allowing sewage to spill in the plumbing compartment. The tank was also engineered without a support structure under the tank as a supplemental support. The authorized dealer diagnos…
