1(A). AFTER DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (ABOVE 60 MPH) THE ABS WARNING LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL NEARLY ALWAYS COMES ON. THIS HAS OCURRED HUNDREDS OF TIMES. 1(B). WHEN DRIVING IN SLIPPERY SNOWY CONDITIONS, AFTER APPLYING THE BRAKES THE ABS COMPUTER MAKES A LOUD BUZZING NOISE THAT WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION TO THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE ABS COMPONENT IS SEVERED BY EITHER REMOVING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE BATTERY OR REMOVING THE FUSE. THE ENGINE WILL STALL AND NOT IDLE IF THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED FOR ABOUT 20 MILES AFTER A SEEMINGLY UNRELATED FAILURE IN THE SPEEDOMETER SENSOR. THIS CAN BE A SAFTEY HAZARD AS IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS EXITING A FREEWAY OFFRAMP AND SUDDENLY HAD NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES.
