Twice in the past two months, I have been driving down the highway going 70 mph with no car in close proximity to the front of me and the automatic emergency braking has activated, suddenly braking for no reason. Vehicle was purchased new from local Hyundai dealership in Dubuque, IA on November 17, 2022 and delivered November 22nd. Vehicle had just under 200 miles on odometer. Brake system was working well at that time. On January 21, 2023 I stopped for a red light. After a few seconds the brake pedal started going down and went completely down. Purchased car in January 2033. I noticed the radio failed to work so I took it in to the closest dealership on May 10th. Dealership said there was a problem with the navigation system and the car needed a software update. Also advised, the update would repair some other electrical and system issues as well. Was told on 5/17 update would not be available until the end of May and that my carcshould not be driven so I should maintain the rental they provided. ICU Module Failure. Power Steering not as effective, instrument cluster failure, driver warnings like low tire pressure, blind spot detection and others do not work. Speedometer and miles driven stopped working. Advised to not drive the car as power steering could completely fail without warning.

I just bought the car, it was brand new off the lot. The check engine light came on followed by every emergency warning on my dash. After this my power steering failed, I was able to move over to the right lane a bit, but that’s it. I tried turning the car off at this point and turning it back on, but it would not turn back on. I could not even put on my emergency 4 way blinkers. The car would not even detect the key at this point. Engine would not accelerate after stopping at a store. Limped home at 15 mph. Engine light came on a few miles from home. Vehicle would not stay running the next morning and had to be towed to dealership. Problem was an injector that the seal had failed on causing the engine to flood with gasoline. Dealership stated they had seen multiple injector failures and replacement parts now have a different part number implying the injector has been redesigned. When driving the car and stopping at red lights, stop signs, or any other stops in traffic on roads and expressways, the car engine randomly dies and cannot restart between 3 and 10 mins. There is no warning when this is about to happen – the car engine simply dies and dashboard lights come on.
