Owner report 11504521 · 2023-01-30 (January 30, 2023)
The car completely stalled while in the middle of driving. I was on the interstate and was unable to go at appropriate speed, making it dangerous for other drivers. This is the second time that this has happened. The first time, the dealerships said that it was a faulty fuel injector, and replaced it. However, 2 months later, the same problem occurred again. Because I wasn't in an accident, the car was not inspected by anyone other than the dealer. I did not receive any warning lights or symptoms.

Owner report 11427751 · 2021-08-04 (August 4, 2021)
Dear all, I bought the 2022 Hyundai Tusan SUV on June 16th, 2021. Since then, the car engine has been turn off more than 20 times, causing problems that require restarting. When I stop at the traffic light while driving and start, the car will turn off and I have to take off my car key and wait in 30 seconds and turn on the car again. Nowadays, The brakes were not applied because the engine was turned off while driving. At that time, my driving speed was around 15mph because I exited from a HWY. I think the engine issue is occurred when the en…

Owner report 11435805 · 2021-10-07 (October 7, 2021)
I was driving on the highway and as I was slowing down for the slower traffic ahead the car started jerking and then the gas pedal wouldn’t cause the car to accelerate. I had to cross several lanes of traffic not being able to accelerate to get to the breakdown lane but could not get all the way off the highway. I believe that the issue was with the engine or brakes. There was a smell of burning in the car so I turned off the engine as soon as I got over as far as possible. I was afraid to try to turn on the engine because is smelled like some…

At highway speed engine began stumbling and shaking car and stalled the car within 5 seconds bring car to halt. Engine would not restart properly, would not settle at idle rpm with rapidly inconsistent rpm shaking the car and then stall within 5 seconds. Any attempt to place car in drive immediately stalls car. After attempting 50-60 bump starts to get car off road the check engine light and error message about engine control system error eventually showed. Hyundai towing refused to take inoperable car to dealership for warranty repair of 1000…

Owner report 11454849 · 2022-03-02 (March 2, 2022)
I was in a turning lane & a driver swerved in front of me. My car is equipped with auto start stop and it was on. I slammed on my brakes and the engine turned off. When I tried to start restart the car there was a fluttering/grinding noise. Turned off the key and restarted the car. Dangerous in the intersection with a stalled car. At the dealer now but not optimistic. Annoying to have to turn off feature each time.

Owner report 11478201 · 2022-08-08 (August 8, 2022)
Hello, I am writing because I have experienced mechanical issues with my car since I purchased the automobile. Since I bought the car, I began having problems with the electrical components, the automatic emergency brake engaging while driving, and the chassis. The emergency brake has engaged while driving numerous times and has consistently been unpredictable since I've owned the car. In addition, the car's handling and suspension have been problematic since purchasing the vehicle. The car has driven poorly, with many vibrations and feeling e…

Owner report 11488263 · 2022-10-06 (October 6, 2022)
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The engine will not start despite having the key fob with live battery on my person. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I was stranded 3 times in a week in dark public parking lots with limited cell reception. I had to abandon the vehicle to get to a warm, safe location, and as a single woman, did not feel comfortable staying with the car while other cars were loitering at night. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or co…

Owner report 11424945 · 2021-07-15 (July 15, 2021)
Purchased a new 2022 SUV Tucson on 5/22/21. While driving on a busy street 6/7/21 during work traffic the vehicle just cut off without warning. With horns blaring I managed to coast to the right blocking traffic leaving one lane open for moving traffic. Vehicle after a couple of tries would start but would not move when gear was placed in Drive or Reverse. Hyundai Roadside Assistance notified vehicle towed to closest Hyundai Dealership. This was dangerous vehicles were almost running into the back of my SUV while abruptly stopping. I exite…

Owner report 11473454 · 2022-07-11 (July 11, 2022)
Safety Issue 2022 Hyundai Tucson: All cars I have previously owned had a safety feature that alerted me through a continuous dinging or beeping sound immediately if a door was left open and the car was put into gear. I unknowingly became reliant on this feature because I have young children that sit in the back seat. If I did not see that a door was open, the car would alert me through sound before I could drive off with a door open. The Hyundai Tucson only has this safety feature for the driver’s door, but not for the passenger door, rear do…

Owner report 11502116 · 2023-01-17 (January 17, 2023)
2022 Hyundai Tuscon abruptly locks steering wheel while driving to the point you cannot turn the steering wheel. Many different types of warnings appear on the dash from blind spot warning to front end collision. luckily, we were going at a moderate speed, I was driving and forced the wheel to turn enough to get off the road. If this happens to a woman while driving, they will most likely not be able to turn the wheel at all with zero control of the vehicle. Extremely dangerous life-threatening situation, and dealer has been notified. The vehic…
