I always do a full undercarriage inspection of new vehicles we purchase, even though I am in my 60's. When inspecting this new Odyssey there was unusual amounts of rusting throughout both front wheel hubs. This also was a problem on our 2014 Honda Cr-V we also purchased new. They require a coating on them for brake and steering systems safety. When this rust spreads to brake and steering mechanisms mounted to these hubs....big issues.

Our AIS has not worked in most of the 3 weeks since we purchased it. We went on (joined) various Odyssey forums and apparently this is a known defect that Honda Corporation is denying (and can't fix). Som think it is a wrong battery in the vehicle issue or defective vehicle charger issue. Others have found a temporary workaround by opening the hood to reset it. Honda is ripping off customers for an AIS system that is defective. A class action is in order.

The car appears to power up on its own even after it has been shut off. I have noticed that the car was on even after I turned it off, so I have been even more diligent about making sure it was turned off. One day I turned off the car. About an hour later, I heard the speakers in my car blaring. When I was finally able to reach the car the sound was off and the car was black. The problems occurred to a brand new 2023 Odyssey only few days (roughly 8 days) after purchase. I was driving the vehicle on road in my community, I came to a STOP sign and stopped, then I was about to turn right but found it was kind of difficult to turn, at same time I heard the sound of crack coming from underneath the steering wheel. I felt that I almost lost control of the vehicle if I did stop at STOP sign, anyway I was able to turn the vehicle as the speed was low and continued to drive slowly. Engine shut off in traffic after Auto Idle-Stop failed to restart. While stopped at a red light with Auto Idle-Stop active, the engine shut down normally. When I released the brake to proceed, all electrical power dropped, cluster went dark, accessories reset, and the engine did not crank. While driving, the vehicle loses power, hesitates, and jerks, then stalls and shuts off without warning, especially in extreme heat and stop-and-go traffic. The failure occurs more frequently when the fuel level drops below approximately half a tank. After stalling, the vehicle will not restart until it cools down for 20–30 minutes, then temporarily operates normally before the issue repeats. I have a 2023 Honda Odyssey. The engine is making a knocking noise. The oil has just been changed with 5.7 quarts, following the factory specifications, but the knocking is still there. The timing belt tensioner has also been replaced, as well as the high-pressure fuel pump. However, the knocking noise is still present, especially at low speeds.
