Owner report 11512402 · 2023-03-17 (March 17, 2023)
Rack and Pinion failing. Jerky and hard steering. I took it in to Honda and they told me it was the rack and pinion and the part wouldn’t be in until May 2023. They continued to have me drive it and told me it was safe to drive.

Owner report 11521151 · 2023-05-09 (May 9, 2023)
i have a 2023 HRV AWD. We test drove it and bought it with the lane assist on. We had never had a vehicle with lane assist and thought it was something we needed to get accustomed to using. It grew irritating so I turned it off. We soon realized it was something else. The steering would stick and jerk. This vehicle is unsafe to drive and cannot be driven in rain or snow. We reported it in January and were told Honda is aware of the issue and working to fix it. In March I took it in for service and asked what was taking so long. They wanted to …

Owner report 11523693 · 2023-05-24 (May 24, 2023)
The warning signs popped up with those 2 safety features and said “see your dealer”, I took to the dealer and there was “nothing wrong”. On the dashboard warnings started to flash “Brake” with nothing in it view and has ATTEMPTED to even brake by itself with nothing in front of it or anything that could affect it. I then still had the 2 warning safety features pop up also so I took to the dealer for a second time and they said there was a problem with the battery and replaced it under warranty. The car was brand new and I had it for 6 months. A…

Owner report 11525117 · 2023-06-02 (June 2, 2023)
Several times a gas smell has come through the vents of this car. It happens generally after running for at least 1hr and 30 min. The last time it occurred, we drove for 30 min, let it idle for around 30 min, and then drove another 30 min back home. The smell came through the vents around 10 min away from home on a back road with no one around. The smell lasted around 5 minutes. I took this to two Honda dealerships and they could not find a problem. There are several lawsuits against Honda for this exact thing, but in the CRV models. It is a…

Owner report 11564255 · 2024-01-08 (January 8, 2024)
We purchased this HR-V last year for my son. He has been driving it back and forth to school at a max of 35mph most of the time. We had to drive to Birmingham and probably the first time actually at speeds of 55mph or more. The steering didn't feel right. it seemed as if it was sticking in it's current position and took more effort to turn it, When it would finally turn it felt like it would ratchet over. I watched it carefully throughout the drive. When we got home, I took the vehicle in to the dealer for its first service, to accomplish a saf…
