CLUTCH PREMATURE WEAR PROBLEM WITH HONDA REBEL 2004 MOTORCYCLE!.HAVE A 2004 REBEL WITH 1600 MILES. I DID THE OIL CHANGE AT 600 MILES AND RUNNING ONCE OR TWICE IN THE WHOLE WINTER, AROUND 10 MILES OR LESS TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY. *AK TODAY, I TOOK MY REBEL OUT FOR A RIDE SINCE IT'S 70 DEGREE PLUS, BUT I NOTICE THE PROBLEM RIGHT AWAY. WHEN I SHIFT INTO 1ST GEAR, TAKE MY HAND OFF THE CLUTCH WITHOUT TURN UP THE THROTTLE, THE REBEL STILL RUNNING. FRONT STEERING WOBBLES ON MY 2005 HONDA GOLDWING GL1800 WITH ABS. THE WOBBLE HAS BEEN PRESENT FROM THE DAY I PICKED UP THE BRAND NEW BIKE FROM THE DEALER. THE WOBBLE IS HAPPENING BETWEEN 35 AND 45 MPH. THE WOBBLE CAN BE FELT BUT IS NOT SEVER WHEN HOLDING ONTO THE HANDLE BARS. IF YOU RELAX YOUR GRIP ON THE HANDLE BARS THE HANDLE BARS WILL BEGIN TO OSCILLATE BACK AND FORTH AND CAN BECOME SEVER IF LEFT TO DO SO. A WELD JOINT ON THE FRAME OF MY HONDA REBEL JUST BROKE. I WAS IN FIRST GEAR IN MY PARKING LOT, NORMAL PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT JUST SNAPPED OFF THE FRAME AND SWUNG OUT TO THE RIGHT. IF I WAS GOING FASTER OR ON THE INTERSTATE I COULD HAVE BEEN HURT. *JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 HONDA CMX 250C REBEL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED AN ABNORMAL CLATTER FOLLOWED BY ABNORMAL STALLING. THE CONTACT LATER DETERMINED THAT THE BOTTOM INTAKE VALVE FRACTURED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 508.
