TRAILER TIRE TREAD SEPARATION AND BLOWOUT. WHEN THE TIRE TREAD WAS FLAPPING, IT DESTROYED THE WIRING TO THE SLIDE OF THE RV BEFORE I COULD SAFELY STOP. TIRE WAS PROPERLY INFLATED @ 65 PSI AND WAS NOT OVERLOADED. SPEED WAS 55 MPH. THE TIRE HAS 2000 MILES ON IT. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500, WHICH WAS HITCHED TO A 2011 HEARTLAND SUNDANCE FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, A DRIVER OF ANOTHER VEHICLE ALERTED THE CONTACT THAT SMOKE WAS ERUPTING FROM THE BRAKES. THE CONTACT MANEUVERED THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER AND NOTICED THAT THE BREAK AWAY SWITCH INADVERTENTLY ACTIVATED AND THE BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE.
