THE CONSUMER HAS HAD A TOTAL OF FOUR FIRESTONE STEELTEX RADIAL RS4 II TIRE FAILURES. *NM THE FIRST OCCURRENCE THE RIGHT OUTSIDE REAR TIRE TREAD SEPARATED, THE SECOND OCCURRENCE THE CONSUMER DISCOVERED THE RIGHT REAR INNER TIRE WAS FLAT. THE THIRD INCIDENT SOME WIRING AND INSULATION HAD CAME OFF THE TIRE. THE LAST OCCURRENCE THE DRIVER SIDE OUTSIDE BLEW OUT AND CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE MOTORHOME. *JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GULF STREAM CONQUEST. THE CONTACT HEARD A PRESSURE RELEASE NOISE AND SMELLED A STRONG AMMONIA ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN RV INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A YELLOWISH STAIN ON THE EXTERIOR SERVICE DOOR. THE MECHANIC REMOVED THE REFRIGERATOR TO INSPECT THE ORIGINAL COOLING UNIT AND NOTICED AN ELECTRICAL BURN SPOT ON THE COOLING UNIT BELOW THE COOLING FANS. THE 110 BOLT WIRES CONNECTED TO THE COOLING UNIT MELTED THE INSTALLATION FROM THE WIRE AND CAUSED A DIRECT SHORT THAT B…

TWO KUMHO TIRES FAILED THAT WERE MOUNTED AS DUALS OF THE RIGHT REAR AXLE OF MY 2002 GULFSTREAM MOTORHOME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT OVERLOADED AND TIRES WERE PROPERLY INFLATED (80 PSI). WE HAD JUST PURCHASED THE MOTORHOME, FIRST TRIP, AND WERE DRIVING BETWEEN 55 AND 60 MPH. THE HIGHWAY WAS DRY AND THE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 90 DEGREES F. WE HAD DRIVEN ABOUT 175 MILES WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE TIRES WERE MADE BY KUMHO, SIZE LT225/75 R-16 LOAD RANGE E.
