Owner report 10121401 · 2005-06-08 (June 8, 2005)

CONSUMER STATED WHILE BRAKING AT SLOW SPEEDS THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD. *JB AT SLOW SPEEDS (UNDER 10 MPH) THE VEHICLE'S ABS MAKES A WHINNING NOISE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL CRUNCHED TOWARDS THE FLOOR BOARD. THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL SPEED SENSOR AND LEFT FRONT WHEEL HUB WERE REPLACED, HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST. *TT CONSUMER WOULD LIKE FOR NHTSA TO LOOK INTO THIS PROBLEM AS SOMETHING MECHANICALLY WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM.*S…

RECOMMEND REPLACING BOTH WHEEL SPEED SENSORS TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION." THE VEHICLE ALSO LIVED GEOGRAPHICALLY WITHIN FOR 137…

1999 CHEVY TAHOE HAS ALWAYS HAD TRANSMISSION NOISE AND THUMPING. NOW WONT GO INTO REVERSE AT 80K MILES. CHAT LINES INDICATE SHELL/GEAR PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL TRANSMISSION. THIS IS A COMMON KNOWN PROBLEM TO GM YET NO RECALL OR ASSISTANCE WITH REPAIR COSTS. PROBLEM IS KNOWN TO GM AS SHELL/GEAR WAS IMPROVED IN 2002. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED IN MODELS WITH LESS THAN 100K AT GM EXPENSE. COSTS ABOUT 2500$ TO CONSUMER FOR REPAIRS. *TR
