TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 GMC SIERRA 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE CONTROLLER WAS INOPERATIVE. THE DEALER WOULD NOT ASSIST. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A TRAILER SPECIALIST AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DEFECTIVE. THE FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED SUFFICIENTLY. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 200. WAS BACKING OUT OF DRIVEWAY AND HIT BRAKES. PEDAL DEPRESSED FURTHER THAN NORMAL AND IT TOOK EXTREME EFFORT TO STOP THE TRUCK. I TRIED TURNING TRUCK OFF AND THEN RESTARTING IT TO SEE IF THAT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. IT DID NOT. I THEN TRIED TO STEER THE VEHICLE TO LINE IT UP WITH THE ROADWAY SO IT COULD BE TOWED EASILY. I WAS BACKING UP AND TRYING TO TURN THE WHEEL AND THE STEERING FELT LIKE IT WAS LOCKED. WITH EXTREME EFFORT I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL WHILE CONTINUING TO BACK UP. SUDDENLY THERE WAS A LITTLE CHUNK NOISE THE WHEEL KICKED …

I HAVE HAD A RATTLE IN THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2009 GMC FROM ABOUT TWO WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE. I HAVE HAD IT IN FOR REPAIR 7 TIMES IN THE YEAR 1 YEAR 5 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. LAST REPAIR WAS DONE ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO AND RATTLE STARTED AGAIN TWO WEEKS AFTER LAST REPAIR. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT CAN COMPROMISE THE STEERING OR NOT. *TR
