TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 GMC ENVOY 360. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL SHORT THAT WAS PROGRESSING AND CAUSED THE HEADLIGHTS TO FLICKER FOR THE LOW BEAMS, HIGH BEAMS, AND THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE DIMMER SWITCH, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V755000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 GMC ENVOY 360. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH , THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED TO REMAIN ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD MELTED WHICH CAUSED A FAILURE IN THE FUSE PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V755000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

GAS SENDING UNIT/FUEL PUMP LINES ROT OUT DUE TO CORROSION AND SPRAY GASOLINE ALL OVER THE UNDERSIDE OF VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE MIGHT STALL BUT OFTEN TIMES IT KEEPS RUNNING, ALL WHILE SPRAYING GASOLINE ALL OVER THE PLACE. THIS ONE DOES NOT EVEN TRIP A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WHILE RUNNING IN THIS CONDITION. THE ONLY WARNING WAS THE SMELL OF GASOLINE- SOME PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE A SENSE OF SMELL, AND THIS COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS. THIS IS A FIRE WAITING TO HAPPEN.
