WHILE ON OUR 1ST CAMPING TRIP, WE SMELLED SOMETHING ELECTRICAL BURNING. UPON INVESTIGATION, I FOUND THE 50AMP ELECTRICAL LAND LINE BURNED UP AT THE PLUG. WE CUT OUR TRIP SHORT AND IMMEDIATELY CAME HOME. I ATTEMPTED TO HAVE FOREST RIVER AUTHORIZE A REPAIR LOCALLY, BUT THEY WANTED ME TO RETURN TO THE POINT OF PURCHASE (5 HOURS AWAY). WE HAD ANOTHER TRIP PLANNED THE FOLLOWING WEEK SO I LOOKED AT THE PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FOREST RIVER SANDPIPER RV. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS WATER ENTERING THE VEHICLE COMING FROM THE ROOF. AS A RESULT, THE WIRES AND OUTLETS WERE WET AND WATER TRAVELED THROUGH THE BRAKE LIGHTS. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT HER CHILDREN WOULD ATTEMPT TO USE AN OUTLET AND BECOME SHOCKED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE CAUSED MOLD AND CORROSION TO THE RV. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

We bought this towable (5th wheel) RV in January 2021, new from Funtown RV in Denton, TX. Since the day we took deleivery, we have experienced a severe lack of braking ability from the RV brakes. We have had them services multiple times, and ultimately, the final RVIA certified repair facilities conclude that the trailer is just too heavy for the brakes they manufactured it with.
