Owner report 11464002 · 2022-05-10 (May 10, 2022)

Oil pump belt shredded without warning at 62,000 miles causing complete engine failure while driving in traffic. Multiple warning lights illuminated, but failure was abrupt and immediate. Car was performing normally and then within a matter of seconds I experienced complete loss of power. Vehicle is presently at the Ford garage. Ford representative told us that the belt for the oil pump shredded and caused loss of oil pressure which lead to a complete loss of power.

Owner report 11286351 · 2019-12-02 (December 2, 2019)

WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE INTO DRIVE THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS RESULTING IN THE CAR JUMPING FORWARD. SOMETIMES IT ONLY STUMBLES AND IS BARELY NOTICEABLE. OTHER TIMES IT JUMPS FORWARD SEVERAL FEET. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND WE DROVE ANOTHER BRAND NEW CAR THAT HAD THE SAME ISSUE. THEIR MECHANIC SAID IT WAS NORMAL. THIS MAKES TURNING AROUND IN A PARKING LOT OR SMALL SPACE VERY DANGEROUS.

Owner report 11475496 · 2022-07-23 (July 23, 2022)

Since I leased this car, I’ve had three transmission replacements, a full wiring harness replacement, numerous electrical issues with the display, and now can’t drive it due to engine low oil pressure. This car is nothing but a nightmare.

Owner report 11555306 · 2023-11-15 (November 15, 2023)

The low oil level indicator light went on while I was driving in my 2019 Ford EcoSport. I stopped at an auto parts store and had them add oil. The light did not go off when we tried to clear the sensor. I drove it home (about a mile) and it struggled to pick up speed and the engine started to knock. I did some research on the model and the government is currently looking into to this issue and there are several lawsuits. All have indicated they were just out of the warranty and the entire engine needed to be replaced. It is going to cost me tho…
