TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DUCATI 1199 PANIGALE MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE KICKSTAND SUDDENLY BECAME DETACHED AND ACTIVATED THE KICKSTAND SAFETY SWITCH, ALSO CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT WHILE PARKED, THE KICKSTAND WOULD NOT REMAIN ENGAGED AND WOULD CAUSE THE MOTORCYCLE TO FALL TO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BOLTS THAT WERE ATTACHED TO THE KICKSTAND BECAME LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WA…

I OWN A 2012 DUCATI 1199 PANIGALE. I AM THE 2ND OWNER OF THE MOTORCYCLE AND IT IS JUST 3 MONTHS OUT OF ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. THE MOTORCYCLE IS 100% STOCK AND HAS NOT BEEN MODIFIED. THE LOWER RIGHT SIDE FAIRING/BODY PANEL IS MELTING/BURNING DUE TO EXHAUST HEAT. THERE HAVE BEEN A NUMBER OF THESE EXACT ISSUES ON THE SAME MOTORCYCLES ( ACROSS THE COUNTRY). DUCATI ISSUED A NEWER VERSION OF LOWER RIGHT SIDE FAIRING WHICH FIXED THIS ISSUE BUT THEY HAVE NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR MOTORCYCLES ALREADY SOLD WITH DEFECTIVE PART. MY DEALER, BARNET…
