DUCATI ISSUED A NEWER VERSION OF LOWER RIGHT SIDE FAIRING WHICH FIXED THIS ISSUE BUT THEY HAVE NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR MOTORCYCLES ALREADY SOLD WITH DEFECTIVE PART. MY DEALER, BARNET…

EMERGENCY MANEUVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY WHICH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN BEING STRUCK FROM THE REAR BY A CAR SINCE THERE WAS NO ELECTRICAL POWER AND LIMITED BRAKING ABILITY. INSPECTION ON THE ROADWAY SHOWED A WARNING SIGNAL ON THE DASH WHICH WAS A RED WI…

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE KICKSTAND SUDDENLY BECAME DETACHED AND ACTIVATED THE KICKSTAND SAFETY SWITCH, ALSO CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT WHILE PARKED, THE KICKSTAND WOULD NOT REMAIN ENGAGED AND WOULD CAUSE THE MOTORCYCLE TO FALL TO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BOLTS THAT WERE ATTACHED TO THE KICKSTAND BECAME LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WA…
