WHILE TRAVELING TO ALASKA IN OUR 2005 COUNTRY COACH INSPIRE WE HAD A TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER FAILURE WHICH CAUSED THE ENGINE COOLANT TO DRAIN INTO THE TRANSMISSION AND CAUSING IT TO FAIL. WE HAD TO BE TOWED 100 MILES TO A REPAIR FACILITY IN COBURG, OR, WHERE THE FOUND THAT BESIDES THE OIL COOLER, THE CHARGE AIR COOLER AND THE CHELSEA PTO WERE ALSO DEFECTIVE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE PTO ON OUR UNIT DRIVES BOTH THE FAN AND THE POWER STEERING. IT IS THE SAME UNIT PRESENTLY ON RECALL FOR THE CC MAGNA AND INFINITY MODELS. THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE …

2005 COUNTRY COACH / INSPIRE- SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING AND CONTROL OF MOTOR HOME DUE TO COMPLETE FAILURE OF POWER TAKE OFF AND PUMPS. THE GEARS HAVE NO LUBRICATION AND COMPLETELY STRIPPED RESULTING IN A SUDDEN AND COMPLETE FAILURE OF STEERING CAPABILITY THIS STRANDED US IN THE MIDDLE OF I10 WEST BLOCKING TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE.
