OUR 1999 CHRYSLER LHS SUFFERED WHAT OUR MECHANIC SAID WAS A "CATASTROPHIC" TRANSIMISSION FAILURE. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE TRANSMISSION STOPPED SHIFTING PROPERLY AND REMAINED IN LOW GEAR. THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE COMPLETELY RE-BUILT AND THE SYSTEM FLUSHED DUE TO THE LARGE VOLUME OF METAL SHAVINGS. BECAUSE THIS HAPPEN OUTSIDE THE 3/36,000 WARRANTY PERIOD, CHRYSLER WOULD NOT COVER THE COST OF THE REPAIRS.*AK

OCCASIONALLY WHILE DRIVIIG WITH HEADLIGHTS ON, (DAY OR NIGHT) ALL DASH RELATED LIGHTS JUST START FLICKERING. IT WILL CONTINUE SPORADICALLY FOR SOME BRIEF OR EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME (LESS THAN A MINUTE OR AS LONG AS 10 TO 15 MINUTES). MY CONCERN IS A POSSIBLE SHORT EXISTS WHICH COULD EITHER SHUT DOWN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OR CREATE AN ELECTRICAL FIRE IN THE VEHICLE.

INTERIOR LIGHTS GO ON AND OFF,INSTRUMENT PANEL,BLINKS,WHILE DRIVING. ALARM GOES OFF FOR NO REASON. I'VE HAD TO REPLACE 3 BATTERIES,AS IT SEEMS THERE IS A DRAIN IN THE SYSTEM SOMEWHERE THAT KNOWONE CAN FIND. ITS SITTING DEAD ONCE AGAIN IN FRONT OF HOUSE. BARELY TOUCH CABLES TO BATTERY EXTENDED CONNECTIONS AND IT WILL START RIGHT UP. AFTER CHARGING BATTERY IT IS DEAD WITHIN 24 HRS.
