The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Express 2500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving, the vehicle failed to accelerate after a stop. The vehicle failed to shift into reverse but continued to start. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V702000 (Service Brake, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Express NAV. The motorhome is a 2020 Coachman Freelander. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, during the night and in the rain, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal and jerked violently. The OTA had the interstate lanes bottle necked down. Traffic was trying to merge. The van had already slowed down and moved into the thru lane closest to the median. The van was pushed off the road by a semi into the contrete barrier. The semi clipped the bumper on the front passenger's side. It was also hit on the driver's side rear bumper.
