TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET EXPRESS 2500. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO BRAKE FAILURE. WHEN APPROACHING A STOP LIGHT, THE BRAKES MADE A DRAGGING SOUND THAT COULD NOT BE CORRECTED. THE CONTACT ALSO HEARD A KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THEY CLEANED AND LUBED THE BRAKES. THIS DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE DEALER THEN REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS, DISCS, AND ROTORS. I AM 62 YEARS OLD AND SELF EMPLOYED. I DO APPLIANCE SERVICE AND DRIVE OVER 25,000 MILES EVERY YEAR. I HAVE OWNED MANY DIFFERENT VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS. A YEAR AGO I PURCHASED A NEW 2008 CHEVROLET G2500 3/4 TON SERVICE VAN. I HAVE NEVER OWNED ANY OTHER VEHICLE WHERE I WAS MORE PRONE TO HITTING THE GAS PEDAL WHILE ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE BRAKES. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS I HAVE FOUND MYSELF APPLYING BOTH THE BRAKES AND GAS AT THE SAME TIME.
