Owner report 11210764 · 2019-05-30 (May 30, 2019)
MY POWER STEERING HAS A TENDENCY TO FAIL DURING OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD MY POWER STEERING CEASE TO FUNCTION, AND BECOME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AT SPEED. LUCKILY I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY, AND ABLE TO SAFELY MANEUVER THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. I SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND TURNED IT ON TO SEE IF THE POWER STEERING WOULD RETURN. ON AVERAGE IT TAKES ABOUT 5 CYCLES FOR IT TO RETURN TO NORMAL. IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS, I'VE HAD MY STEERING CEASE FUNCTIONING ABOUT 5 TIMES. THE FIRST TWO TIMES DIDN'T CONCERN ME AS MUC…

Owner report 11626945 · 2024-11-22 (November 22, 2024)
As I was driving, my car decided to just turn off. All of the electronics turned off and I lost ignition. Moments later, while I was still rolling, the car turned back on. This issue has happened multiple times but nothing super serios ever happened and i was able to maintain control of the vehicle every time. Since it is a manual transmission, I was able to stay in gear and continue on. The issue with the steering came after the car turned back on. The "SERVICE POWER STEERING, DRIVE WITH CARE" message came across my screen. I used my scanner t…

Owner report 11310514 · 2020-02-21 (February 21, 2020)
I AM COMPLAINING ABOUT THE BRAKES ON MY 2017 CHEVROLET SS. THE CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND EXPERIENCES VERY ANNOYING BRAKE SQUEAL WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. I HAVE TALKED DIRECTLY WITH CHEVROLET TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE ALSO EMAILED THE BRAKE MANUFACTURER, BREMBO BRAKES, WITH NO RESPONSE TO MY COMPLAINT. I FEEL THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT GM AND THE DEALER SAY IT IS A MAINTENANCE ISSUE, EVEN THOUGH MY VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.
