Owner report 11433278 · 2021-09-16 (September 16, 2021)
VSS code is triggered with three codes making the Ryker go into limp mode. It started happening when I was going around turns (left) then eventually it locked me out of full performance. YAW/SAS C0063 and/or C0052 and *C006C) I hit a guard rail as it jolted me. Turns out there are many that have had the same problem when noted threw BRP dealers. So this is a known problem with the pitman steering arm bushings. Mine is most defiantly loose.

Owner report 11454204 · 2022-02-26 (February 26, 2022)
Bearings in Pitmen Arm are failing. The Bearings are not pressed in and wear out quickly causing binding in the steering and triggering a VSS fault Code. Resulting in the vehicle going to Limp mode. I have seen many Can Am Rykers have this problem. Can Am refuses to Correct the problem. By the way my Ryker only has 1100 Miles on it and it's a 2019. Help before someone gets Killed.

Owner report 11473069 · 2022-07-09 (July 9, 2022)
I bought the bike new and it is all stock, no addtl electrical additions. I was riding the bike had gone approx 35 miles the 1st & 2nd time and l was on a highway all of a sudden my bike lost power. It dropped speed from 65mph to under 40mph & my dash started to read VSS FAULT LIMP HOME..... I was almost hit multiple times by traffic coming up on me at higher speeds & bcz the bike has no emergency flashers l was almost struck. There were no service roads on HWY 380 East from Decatur, TX back to Denton, TX. So l was forced to ride on a hwy at 3…

Owner report 11531174 · 2023-07-09 (July 9, 2023)
During left-hand curves, even at slow controled speeds, the vehicle decreases engine power and the brakes begin to pulse. Eventually, the vehicles engine light illuminates, throws trouble codes for the VSS (VEHICLE STABILITY SYSTEM), and goes into "limp mode", which gives the vehicle a limited amout of power and speed, in order to be able to reach home or service center. Dealership techs were able to reproduce these symptoms on test rides. First attempt at repair was the changing of the YAW sensor. The second attempt of repair was a bearing and…

When you riding the bike for a certain amount of time, it cuts of or when you cut it off it don't start back up. It's very dangerous for you to be riding and the bike just shuts down. Then you have to.let the bike sit for an hour until the fuel pump cools off then it will start up again and drive normal. But the same thing happens again this my 3rd time this has happened to me.

Owner report 11474724 · 2022-07-19 (July 19, 2022)
BRP's Vehicle Stability System (VSS) engages randomly on left turns, cutting engine power, applying braking, and temporary stalling around curves at normal driving speeds. This situation is a serious driving hazard as may suddenly jerk erratically, causing temporary loss of control of vehicile. This has happened on several occassions, and is a known problem to BRP. Ryker will lose power during a turn, causing vehicles behind to brake to avoid a collision, the bike will jerk and shake erratically, as brakes are being applied, then lunges forwa…
