Owner report 11311673 · 2020-02-26 (February 26, 2020)

CAR WAS PARKED OUTSIDE IN STOWE, VT WHEN TEMP DROPPED TO -13. ABLE TO BACK OUT OF HOTEL PARKING SPACE BUT NOTICED STEERING WAS STIFF. ONCE ONTO THE STREET, LOST POWER STEERING COMPLETELY! USING ALL MY STRENGTH, I COULD BARELY STEER THE CAR OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE STREET. STAYED IN THE CAR, RUNNING WITH THE HEAT ON, FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES WHILE WE ARRANGED FOR A TOW. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN (MY WIFE'S SUGGESTION) THE POWER STEERING CAME BACK! WE DROVE ALL THE WAY BACK TO MA WITHOUT A PROBLEM. THREE DAYS LATER, MY LOCAL A…

AFTER THE DEALER PERFORMED SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON MY VEHICLE, I DISCOVERED THAT MY TAIL LIGHTS NO LONGER WORKED, INCLUDING REAR BRAKE LIGHTS. I DECIDED TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE MALFUNCTION AND WAS ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE WITH THE FOLLOWING STEPS: 1. WHILE THE CAR IS OFF, OPEN THE LIFT GATE. 2. MANUALLY CLOSE THE LIFT GATE, BUT SOFTLY. CLOSE IT ALL THE WAY. 3. TURN ON THE VEHICLE. THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS WILL NOT WORK, EVEN IF YOU TURN THE LIGHTS OFF AND ON. 4. OPEN AND CLOSE THE LIFT GATE FIRMLY TO RESTORE BRAKE LIGHT FUNCT…

THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS FAILED TWICE WITH NO WARNING. THE CAR HAD TO TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP THE FIRST TIME TO HAVE THE BATTERY REPLACED. THE SECOND TIME WE COULD JUMP IT AND DRIVE IT THERE AND THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY AGAIN. THE DEALERSHIP ADVISED THAT THERE IS A KNOWN ELECTRICAL SHORT OR CURRENT LEAKAGE AFFECTING Q3S. I BROUGHT MY CONCERN TO AUDI BUT THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED IT HAD BEEN PARKED OVERNIGHT IN MY GARAGE AND WOULD NOT START. Owner report 11731952 · 2026-04-17 (April 17, 2026)

Vehicle experiences sudden, intermittent loss of motive power, severe engine hesitation, and stalling while operating at highway speeds. Diagnostic scans confirm fault codes P2015 and P0341, indicating a failure of the intake manifold position sensor and camshaft position correlation. These mechanical failures, combined with extreme carbon buildup on the valves, create a hazardous operating condition where the vehicle cannot maintain safe speeds in high-traffic environments. The manufacturer (Audi) has acknowledged the intake manifold failure, w…

Owner report 11736168 · 2026-05-06 (May 6, 2026)

I am reporting that authorized dealer Audi Knoxville (Harper Auto Square) is KNOWINGLY AND WILLINGLY attempting to force me to operate an unsafe vehicle. Following an intake manifold repair, the dealership’s service staff identified carbon buildup and fouled spark plugs as a necessary repair, while the manufacturer (Audi of America) has reclassified it as 'maintenance' to avoid coverage. Because this critical 'top-end' work remains incomplete, the vehicle is at high risk for catastrophic stalling at highway speeds. Despite this, the dealership …

Owner report 11427317 · 2021-07-31 (July 31, 2021)

Failure of seal between injector and fuel rail caused fuel to be sprayed into engine compartment. I believe the injector seal was damaged during a prior service. Fuel sprayed onto the front of the engine and gasoline fumes filled cabin. Check engine light came on after engine died from lack of fuel. Safety issue is the accumulation of gasoline in the engine compartment & the car continues to pump fuel. No apparent safety measure to cut off fuel when excessive fuel is being delivered to engine. I repaired vehicle, but only replaced the bad …

BACK UP CAMERA WON'T WORK WHEN CAR TRANSMISSION IS IN REVERSE, NOR WHEN MANUALLY PRESSING PARK ASSIST BUTTON. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS BEFORE BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS A FLUKE, TODAY BACK UP CAMERA WAS COMPLETELY DISABLED MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE DRIVING WHEN PUTTING TRANSMISSION IN REVERSE.
