WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, 65 MPH, ENGINE RPM 1900, 5TH GEAR, AFTER ENCOUNTERING A SLIGHT GRADE, TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS FROM 5TH, TO 4TH, TO 3RD, TO 2ND GEAR, ENGINE RPM 4500, IN 48 SECONDS. ENGINE RACES UNTIL CRUISE CONTROL IS MANUALLY DISENGAGED. THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING, IS VERY STARTLING, AND I BELIEVE, COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT WITH AN INEXPERIENCED DRIVER, AND/OR IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 WINNEBAGO VISTA WFE30T MOTOR HOME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4,000.
