Owner report 11322986 · 2020-05-01 (May 1, 2020)

ON MAY 28, 2019 WHILE PARKED IN A CAMPGROUND MY ATS (AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH) CAUGHT FIRE, ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INSIDE THE RIG SHUT DOWN, I SMELLED SMOKE AND IMMEDIATELY KNEW WHAT TO CHECK AS OVER 30 MEMBERS ON THE FUSE FACEBOOK PAGE HAVE DOCUMENTED THIS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NO LONGER IN WARRANTY AND HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR REPLACEMENT. NUMEROUS MEMBERS HAVE CONTACTED WINNEBAGO WITH…

Owner report 11342761 · 2020-08-02 (August 2, 2020)

TWO DAYS AFTER PURCHASING THIS USED 2017 FUSE, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH FAILED. SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE ELECTRICAL COMPARTMENT. WE DROVE BACK TO THE DEALER IN LINCOLN NEBRASKA. THE ATS WAS REPLACED. THE NEXT TIME WE PLUGGED INTO SHORE POWER, THE ATS WORKED FOR A FEW HOURS, AND FAILED AGAIN. WE ARE WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THE DEALER. IF WE HAD NOT BEEN WITH THE UNIT, THERE COULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE FIRE! THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND PARKED IN A LEVEL SPOT WITH GREAT CLEARANCE AND AIR FLOW AROUND IT.
