The contact owns a 2018 Western Star 5700. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the On Guard radar system became inoperable. The contact stated that the feature independently activated the brake. The contact stated that the failure had been ongoing since 2018. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that he contacted On Guard, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 700.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 WESTERN STAR 5700. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT WAS CLEANING THE RIMS AND NOTICED THAT THE LUG NUTS WERE LOOSE ON THE INNER TIRES. IN ADDITION, ALL THE VALVES WERE DETACHED FROM ALL FOUR INNER TIRES. THE CONTACT CALLED AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE LUG NUTS WERE NOT TIGHTENED PROPERLY, WHICH CAUSED THEM TO LOOSEN. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V353000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXI…
