Front left axle shaft failed at 18,000 miles, producing noticeable noise and vibration when accelerating and turning to the right. The car has never been in an accident, nor has there ever been an incident (e.g., striking a curb) or other abuse that could have caused this failure. Fortunately I brought it into my local Volvo repair shop before further damage to the transmission and other connected parts. Test drive by the repair shop confirmed the vibration at various speeds and maneuvers. Cost to replace the axle was $1,056.75. I contact…

Occurring 7/10/2025 WATER LEAK CONCERN:: mildew smell coming from the vehicle, trunk is wet and smelling mildew. have gaps on the rear sunroof glass seal. recommend replacing rear sunroof glass seal, replaced all the drain hoses, remove all the carpets and dry them, water incursion may have affected electrical systems responsible for safety and driving.
