Owner report 11496004 · 2022-12-05 (December 5, 2022)

Driver fell asleep and vehicle want off the road into a ditch that led to a stone wall protecting a culvert. Vehicle hit the stone wall and was launched into the air across the driveway where it came to a rest on its right side. I estimate that the vehicle left the highway at 45 mph (the cruise control setting) and hit the stone wall at approximately 25-30 mph. During this violent event all airbags deployed EXCEPT DRIVER'S AIRBAG located in the center of the steering wheel. I have a severely bruised and very painful sternum as a result. All sy…

While driving the vehicle, frequent faults stating "travel assist is currently not available" display on the instrument cluster, along with a warning light. During this time, the travel assist features can not be used. The error occurs randomly, and can happen multiple times back to back - it is not uncommon for the car's warning sound to alarm 10 or more times in a 20 minute drive. Scans of the vehicles's modules show multiple communication errors stemming back to the "Control Module for Steering Wheel Touch Detention". After taking the car …

Owner report 11483714 · 2022-09-09 (September 9, 2022)

When cold, after putting in drive, vehicle will feel like it stalls suddenly then "catches up" and very quickly accelerates. This only happens when the engine is cold and has been sitting for 6-8 hours or more. Concerned about pulling in to traffic especially in the mornings as I live on a busy road.

Owner report 11495414 · 2022-11-30 (November 30, 2022)

During stops the start/stop system has failed to re-engage. This has resulted in the driver having to shift the vehicle into park and re-start the engine while in traffic. Obviously being stalled in traffic elevates the risk of being rear-ended

Owner report 11449330 · 2022-01-28 (January 28, 2022)

Sudden Acceleration Issue. Leaving a parking lot at low acceleration my 2022 VW Tiguan SEL R-line suddenly accelerated. I was able to stomp on the brake pedal to remedy the situation. This happened twice in a 12 hour period. I have not yet taken it to the dealer as this is a rare incident at this time. All seemed like normal operation at the time the issue happened.

Owner report 11454875 · 2022-03-02 (March 2, 2022)

While driving car gives error messages: Driver door contact switch, then drivers window and drivers side passengers window rolls down 2 inches. With in a few seconds get Error Start/Stop, and a few seconds later Fault: Electronic parking brake. When I slowed to a stop the parking break engaged and stopped the vehicle. The only way to move the vehicle is to turn off and restart. Upon restart you can disingage the parking break and move the vehicle from the roadway.

Radio rarely has volume. Engine acceleration at breaking. Shifting erratic.

Owner report 11485023 · 2022-09-18 (September 18, 2022)

Especially when the car is first started in the morning, the car will hesitate when pressing the gas pedal. It has happened when pulling into traffic, causing me to over accelarate to make up for the hesitation. Took to dealer and tech confirmed my observations but noted there are no error codes on the transmission.

Owner report 11519747 · 2023-05-01 (May 1, 2023)

amplifier sent out cyclical (~.5sec) full-range MAX voltage to every speaker. Nothing like dam near heart attack... 1. Hitting the HU power button (once) did not resolve - maybe a full infotainment shutdown (push and hold) would have resolved - but not confident as next step did not resolve either... 2. Shut down car did not resolve as I guess the amp still has power until the delayed power off cycle is complete..? 4. Pushing key fob button didn't work 5. disconecting bluetooth from phone didn't work. 6. Ultimately, had to disconnect the batt…

Owner report 11534472 · 2023-07-25 (July 25, 2023)

The first and most pressing issue is the throttle lag. From a dead stop (red light/stop sign) the car will not accelerate when the gas pedal is depressed. It lags for a few seconds before lurching forward. I fell like I'm a candidate to get rear-ended. Today, after driving through a heavy rain storm, the throttle lag caused the car to barely move. Like at all. Fortunately this happened as I was pulling into my driveway. The car simply just BARELY made it home. The second issue is the incessant warning lights and bells that go off because of a …

Owner report 11527132 · 2023-06-15 (June 15, 2023)

Cylinder #2 Misfire, Multiple Misfires. Codes P030200 and P030000 after car sat idle for 20 minutes. Dealer unable to recreate issue. Stating “bad gas” because they are unable to figure it out. Taking it to separate dealership for investigation/second opinion. Car is filled at same Shell gas station and has been for the past year. Bad gas is just not true. Several owners experiencing same issue and injector harness is being replaced. Please investigate.
