THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. NAPLETON VOLKSWAGEN OF SANFORD (4175 S ORLANDO DR, SANFORD, FL 32773, [phone removed]) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. CLOCKSPRING IN STEERING WHEEL FAILED AT 40,000 MILES. AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON AND NONE OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS WORK TO INCLUDE THE HORN.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF SPORTSWAGEN. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE RPMS DECREASED TO ZERO. APPROXIMATELY 4 SECONDS AFTER RELEASING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND AND THEN SUDDENLY LUNGED FORWARD AND ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JIM ELLIS VOLKSWAGEN (5901 PEACH TREE INDUSTRIAL BLVD, CHAMPLEE, GA) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED.
