Owner report 10010485 · 2003-03-14 (March 14, 2003)

MOTORCYCLE TRANSMISSION OFTEN MISSES SHIFT FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR, HITTING A "FALSE NEUTRAL". ALSO, THE TRANSMISSION HAS, ON OCCASION, JUMPED FROM 3RD GEAR BACK TO 2ND AFTER SHIFTING TO 3RD, CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHERE THE RIDER COULD BE THROWN FORWARD OFF THE MOTORCYCLE (THOUGH I HAVE NOT BEEN THROWN OFF YET). THE MARCH 9 DATE INDICATES THE LATEST INCIDENT OF A MISSED SHIFT INTO 3RD GEAR. *JB

IT HAS SUFFERED SEVERAL PROBLEMS, ALL THAT HAVE BEEN DEALT WITH BY VICTORY IN A TIMELY FASHION, BUT I FEEL THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO REPORT THIS MATTER TO YOU BECAUSE OTHER VICTORY OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED SIMILAR ISSUES. MY MAIN AREA OF CONCERN IS THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION. ON 7/26/01, THE FRONT DRIVE SPROCKET WAS REPLACED AFTER IT SPUN ON WHILE I WAS ON A TOUR, WI…
