When shifting into higher gears, transmission shifts back to neutral or in neutral, makes a rattling noise. gears appear to be damaged. This can cause a rider to be forced into lower gears and thrown or lose control of the motorcycle. this a know defect of workmanship in the design and install of powertrain. leading victory technicians, mechanics and dealers have admitted this except Polaris.

C clips in transmission popped out of place causing damage to transmission. This is a very well known design flaw and could lead to the transmission locking up causing a crash. It is a very expensive repair. I ended up replacing the entire engine with a lower mileage used engine, but this is likely only a temporary repair.

The contact owns a 2014 Victory CC Tour The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to stop the vehicle the rear brakes failed. The contact was able to stop the vehicle. The contact also noticed fire coming from under the catalytic converter, burning several unknown wires. The contact extinguished the fire. The motorcycle was towed back to the contact's residence. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle has not been repaired.
