C-clip failure in transmission gearing, allowing the 2nd gear to shift on the shaft causing contact with other gears when vehicle is leaning in the curves of the road. First indication is clicking sound when bike leans. Causes wheel lockup and loss of control.

The contact owns a 2014 Victory CC Tour The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to stop the vehicle the rear brakes failed. The contact was able to stop the vehicle. The contact also noticed fire coming from under the catalytic converter, burning several unknown wires. The contact extinguished the fire. The motorcycle was towed back to the contact's residence. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle has not been repaired.
