DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH ON DRY ROADS, THE TRANSMISSION ON THE VENTO V-THUNDER MOTORCYCLE LOCKED UP WITHOUT WARNING, AND THE REAR TIRE STOPPED MOVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SERVICE DEALER, WHERE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.*AK

CONSUMER COMPLAINT REGARDING SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE BOLTS ON THE MOTORCYCLE WILL NOT REMAIN TIGHT. *TS THE SPEEDOMETER WAS INOPERATIVE, THE BRAKES WILL NOT HOLD, THE SEAT WAS BROKEN, "THE FADING WOULDN'T HOLD," AND THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD BLOW. VENTO MOTORCYCLES, USA *SC *AK

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS A WHISTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE BATTERY. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNALS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. UPON INSPECTION, THE BATTERY WAS OBSERVED TO BE EXPANDED AND EMITTED A BURNING SMELL. THE BATTERY WAS DISCONNECTED AND THE QUAD WAS LOADED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SERVICE DEALER WHO DETERMINED THAT THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE RADIATOR. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED MOVING THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR TO THE REAR OF THE QUAD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED AND PROVIDED A CASE# FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION.
