IN MARCH 2003 A FIRESTONE STEELTEX TIRES FAILED ON MY ITASCA 29FT CLASS C MOTOR HOME. THE TREAD CAME OFF IN PIECES WITH THE TIRE REMAINING AT 80 LBS FOLLOWING THE SEPARATION (INSIDE REAR DUAL). ON JULY 7, 2003 THE OPPOSITE SIDE INSIDE DUAL TIRE ALSO DID THE SAME THING. THESE WERE ORIGINAL TIRES WITH 30,000 WHEN THE 1ST TIRE WENT AND AND 3400 MILES WHEN THE SECOND WENT...AGAIN MAINTAINING THE 80LB PRESSURE. BOTH WERE FIRESTONE STEELTEX RADIALS LT 225/75R16 E. ON BOTH OCCASIONS A FIRESTONE DEALER LOOKED AT THE TIRES AND SAW THERE WAS NO DAM…

SHOCK BRACKET BROKE OFF & FELL & CAUGHT ON THE HYDRAULIC JACK WIRING. 2 WEEKS LATER, LEFT SIDE DID THE SAME THING. BRACKET COULD HAVE FALLEN & STUCK IN THE TIRE, CAUSING A DEADLY ACCIDENT. DEALER IS GIVING CONSUMER THE RUN AROUND. PART IS MANUFACTURED BY 3-T'S RV PRODUCTS INC . BOTH BRACKETS WERE TAKEN OFF & CHEVROLET OR ITASCA WONT BE RESPONSBILE IN SAYING WHY BRACKETS WERE BOLTED TO THE FRAME. CONSUMER BOLTED THE SHOCK TO THE FRAME & ELIMINATED THE BRACKET ALL TOGETHER.
