This is a fairly well known issue for this year Triumphs, as well as other Makes/years, fitted with this type of Brembo brakes. The brakes have an inconsistent pressure issue during operation. The first pull of the brake is soft and "spongey" and takes multiple pulls to build pressure. Full bleeding of brake system, replacement of pads, etc. does not resolve the issue. this is obviously a huge safety concern as it does not allow the rider a clear and consistent braking operation, which can cause them to over/under apply the amount of necessary …

My motorcycle has what I call a "double pull' front brake problem. When the brake lever for the front brake is pulled, I get a significant difference in lever pull. On the first pull the lever comes close to the handle bar. If I release the lever and pull it a second time, the lever pulls to a normal reach. I would add the brakes engage/bite much better and what would be expected for a high performance brake system from Brembo on the second lever pull.
