I DROVE WITH AT A VERY LOW SPEED (ABOUT 22 MPH), WHEN THE FRAME OF MY BRAND NEW TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE (2 MONTHS OLD, DRIVEN ABOUT 1,300 MILES) BROKE PARALLEL ON BOTH SIDES. I LOST CONTROL OVER THE BIKE AND CRASHED INTO A BUS. I WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED (BROKEN SCAPULA, TORN LIGAMENT AT THE LEFT FOOT) AND STILL UNDER MEDICAL TREATMENT, AFTER 4 MONTHS! AN EXPERTISE REVEALED THAT THE FRAME DEFINITELY BROKE BEFORE THE ACCIDENT! TRIUMPH PRETENDS THAT THIS IS THE FIRST CASE OF A BROKEN FRAME - I GOT NOTICE OF ANOTHER FRAME INCIDENT LAST MONTH IN GERMANY …

THE FRONT BRAKES ARE CHRONICALLY MUSHY. THEY DO STOP THE BIKE, BUT THE LEVER TRAVEL IS EXCESSIVE. THEY HAVE CORRECTED THE ISSUE ON NEWER BIKES WITH DIFFERENT HARDWARE BUT WILL DO NOTHING MORE THAN LABOR SERVICE ON MY 2005 BIKE THAT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. *JB

I HAVE OWNED A 2005 TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE MOTORCYCLE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW. THE FRONT BRAKES HAVE A DANGEROUS PROBLEM WHICH CLEARLY IS "A PROBLEM." OVER FAIRLY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THE BRAKES BECOME PROGRESSIVELY MUSHY. THIS IS NOT NORMAL BY ANY MEANS IN THIS TIME PERIOD. THE BRAKES DO NOT CONSISTENTLY STOP AT THE SAME POINT WHEN PULLING IN THE LEVER AND CONTINUE TO GET WORSE UNTIL A TEMP FIX IS DONE AND THE PROCESS STARTS OVER. CURRENTLY TRIUMPH IS DECLINING TO EVEN DO THE TEMP FIX FOR ME WHILE MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD IT DONE! TRIUMPH CALLS…

05V276000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Cooling System:Hoses/Lines/Piping/Fittings
Reported: 2005-06-14 (June 14, 2005)
ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THE LOWER BY-PASS COOLANT HOSE CAN RUPTURE.
Consequence: A LOSS OF COOLANT FROM THE ENGINE CAN RESULT IN THE ENGINE OVERHEATING AND SEIZURE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE COOLANT HOSE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 8, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TRIUMPH AT 1-678-854-2010.
