ON JAN 18 2005 MY SON WAS DRIVING HIS 94 TOYOTA EX-CAB TRUCK WHEN TOYOTA PART # 55106-35050 FAILED AND HE LOST HIS CLUTCH AND BRAKES. I'M HAPPY TO SAY THAT THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT BUT I STILL HAD TO HAVE HIS TRUCK TOWED TO OUR LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP AND PAY $298.43 TO REPLACE A PART THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER WARN OUT. I HOPE THIS SAVES SOMEBODYS LIFE. I HAVE EXCELLENT PICTURES OF THE BROKEN PART AND COPYS OF THE REPAIR ORDER THAT I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SHARE WITH YOU. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ONE WAY OR THE OTHER IF YOU CAN HELP ME. *AK

Owner report 10267212 · 2009-04-29 (April 29, 2009)

I CURRENTLY OWN A1994 TOYOTA 4X4 OWNED SINCE 1995 , HAVE NOTICED RIGHT SIDE FRAME ROT FROM CROSSMEMBER TO FRONT LEAF SPRING CONNECTION . I AM GETTING WORRIED ABOUT ME AND MY FAMILY'S SAFETY. IT IS A SHAME THAT LOYAL TOYOTA OWNERS LIKE ME ARE BEING TOLD SORRY WE CAN'T HELP YOU. I HAVE OWNED TOYOTA VEHICLES FOR OVER 21 YEARS. I CAN'T SEE MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO MODELS BY BEING ONE YEAR APART. I WOULD APPRECIATE SOME WAY TO JUSTIFY MY SITUATION FOR A REPAIR OR FRAME REPLACEMENT, THIS TRUCK RUNS TO GOOD TO THROW AWAY. *TR

1. DROVE VEHICLE ADHERING TO, ACTUALLY EXCEEDING, VEHICLE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS. 2. UPPER LEFT CONTROL ARM IS RUSTING THROUGH ON THE VERTICAL PLANES. 3. TOOK VEHICLE TO LOCAL DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THEY AGREED THE PARTS ARE RUSTING BUT IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE. CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY SUPPORT THE DEALER. MY VEHICLE IS A 1994 TOYOTA PICKUP TRUCK WITH 225,000 MILES. THE POWER TRAIN AND BODY ARE IN ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION. *TR
