Owner report 11728049 · 2026-03-30 (March 30, 2026)

The 2nd panel of the panoramic sunroof literally exploded. Was sitting, stationary after a brief highway drive when it exploded cacophonously. Toyota won't cover under warranty because they're saying that it had to be resultant from an incident. But, literally, it just blew up 100% unprovoked.

Owner report 11736270 · 2026-05-07 (May 7, 2026)

The panoramic moonroof on the 2025 Toyota Sequoia spontaneously shattered while the vehicle was stationary. Nothing hit the moonroof. Was told by the dealership that it was caused by a pressure imbalance and although this is a know issue Toyota will not cover it as corporate doesn't see it as a issue. Was lucky the screen as deployed as it caught the glass from hitting the driver.

Owner report 11750453 · 2026-07-14 (July 14, 2026)

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with a Toyota warranty denial. I own a 2025 Toyota Sequoia that is still under warranty. I first brought it to Mountain States Toyota because the power liftgate would only partially open, beep repeatedly, and would not open or close correctly using the buttons. I also noticed the right side of the liftgate was not sitting flush. The dealership confirmed in writing that the liftgate was misaligned, would not operate correctly, and that there was a significant gap on the right side. Their inspectio…

Owner report 11761843 · 2026-09-03 (September 3, 2026)

Interior door handle broke, driver side. Vehicle is just over a year old with 7K miles. Apparently Toyota has confirmed this is defective part, the item is currently back ordered and I'm at 10 plus days waiting for a replacement. This prevents a safety hazard on exiting the vehicle in an emergency.

25V657000 · Back Over Prevention:Software

Reported: 2025-10-01 (October 1, 2025)

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, and 2023-2025 Sequoia Hybrid vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview image not to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the multimedia display software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB10 and 25TA10.
