2001 TOYOTA SOLARA. CAR MAKES "CLUNKING" SOUND FROM FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AND DRIVER SIDE. USUALLY OVER BUMPS OR UNEVEN ROADS. NOISE GETS WORSE OVER TIME. ALREADY HAD STRUT MOUNTS REPLACED ONCE BY TOYOTA. THE STRUT MOUNTS APPEAR TO BE THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE. THIS NOISE IS RECOGNIZED BY TOYOTA AS SERVICE BULLETIN HOWEVER THE NOISE STILL PERSISTS. CAR SOUNDS UNSAFE. *NLM

WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION. AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. SEAT BELT DID NOT ENGAGE. I HAD REPORTED THE SEATBELT PROBLEM TO THE TOYOTA DEALER PREVIOUSLY. PASSENGER SEATBELT WAS REPLACED, BUT DEALER ASSURED ME THAT THE DRIVER SEATBELT WAS FINE. TOYOTA WOULD NOT REPLACE AIRBAG AFTER ACCIDENT.

2001 SOLARA-WHEN ENGAGE EMERGENCY HAND BRAKE AND THEN SUBSEQUENTLY RELEASE IT TO DRIVE,THE FRONT WHEELS VIBRATE AND IT FEELS THAT YOU ARE DRIVING ON A WASHBOARD TYPE ROAD WITH ALL SPEED BUMPS, AND THE CAR CANNOT GET UP TO SPEED AS YOU PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, AND IT ALSO FEELS LIKE ONE OF THE FRONT TIRES ARE FLAT. WHEN YOU COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND WAIT A FEW MINUTES AND RESTART AND DRIVE THERE IS NO PROBLEM AND EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED THE FOUR TIMES WE HAVE ENGAGED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. OBVIOUSLY…

I OWN A 2001 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA, AND MY VEHICLE OCCASIONALLY SURGES FORWARD WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. THIS CONDITION HAS OCCURRED SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN 2001. THE CAR FEELS AS IF SOMEONE HAS LIGHTLY "BUMPED" IT FORWARD FROM BEHIND. *AK
