02V115000 · Electrical System:Wiring
Reported: 2002-04-17 (April 17, 2002)
ON CERTAIN 29' PROPANE POWERED BUSES, THE INERTIA SWITCH IS CURRENTLY MOUNTED UNDER THE DASH.
Consequence: DUE TO EXCESSIVE VIBRATION, THE SWITCH COULD ACTIVATE DURING NORMAL OPERATION CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL RELOCATE THE SWITCH TO THE CHASSIS FRAME RAIL. SUPREME HAS NOT YET PROVIDED AN OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT SUPREME AT 1-219-642-4730.
