CAR HEATING SYSTEM CUT OUT. I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND THE HEATER SYSTEM DIED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA. SEVERAL TIMES, WHILE DRIVING, THE CHECK OIL LEVEL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE CONTACT FILLED THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL, HE ALSO HAD TO ADD OIL TO THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD TO ADD OIL APPROXIMATELY EVERY 500-900 MILES. I FIND MYSELF HAVING TO HAVING TO ADD OIL EVERY TWO FILL UPS. FROM 500 HUNDRED TO 1000 MILES.THIS RATE OF OIL CONSUMPTION VERY EXCESSIVE AND IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN ADVISED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE I WOULD HAVE NOT BOUGHT THE CAR. THE DEALER AND PORSCHE USA SAYS THIS IS NORMAL. BUT I HAVE ANOTHER PORSCHE THAT DOESN'T USE OIL. THEY HAVE TO ADD OIL THREE TIMES SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR.UNACCEPTABLE!.

IN MAY 2019 I PURCHASED A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2015 PORSCHE CARRERA GTS AND HAD IT FOR 11 MONTHS BEFORE IT CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE DRIVING IT. A FORENSIC INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS THE ELECTRICAL BOARD LOCATED ON THE INSIDE OF THE CABIN NEAR THE RIGHT REAR TIRE. ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT, AFTER DRIVING THE CAR LESS THAN 15 MILES FROM MY HOME TO A NEARBY PROPERTY I NOTICED THE CAR WAS SMOKING AS I PULLED INTO THE DRIVEWAY. Spoiler lift spring brackets on both sides are broken allowing the springs to get in the way of the normal performance of the spoiler. This could impede the deployment of the spoiler or the successful retraction of the spoiler, creating a reduction in downforce (grip) or creating a safety hazard of a non-fully retracted spoiler. This was identified by a third-party repair shop during maintenance work. This car has popular aftermarket Spiegler brake lines on it, braided stainless lines, these are the brakes and lines: https://www.essexparts.com/ap-racing-by-essex-road-brake-kit-front-9562380mm-porsche-911 Yesterday, on startup with the brake pedal depressed, the front right line burst. There is an active spoiler that has a brake light built into it. There is a design issue with the wiring for the light in the spoiler. The brake light harness is worn out by the movement of the spoiler causing failure of the brake light. This meams there is no 3rd brake light when the spoiler is automatically activated.

THE PCM UNIT WHICH CONTROLS THE CARS COMPUTERS KEEPS SHUTTING ON AND OFF SAYING DO NOT DRIVE. GET SERVICE ….. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MANY CARS AND THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION SUIT REGARDING A RECALL. IT IS NOW CLOSED AND I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED.

Reported: 2014-11-04 (November 4, 2014)
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Porsche 911, Boxster, and Cayman vehicles manufactured May 7, 2014, to September 23, 2014. The front hood upper lock components were not manufactured to specification and may fail to securely latch the vehicle's hood during operation.
Consequence: A failure of the hood latching mechanism may cause the hood to suddenly open during vehicle operation and will severely impede the driver's ability to see out the front windshield, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
Remedy: Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the lock on the front hood, free of charge. The recall began December 12, 2014. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is AE04.
