TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 PONTIAC PURSUIT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES FAILED; MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO STOP THE VEHICLE AT ANY TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE WITH THE VEHICLE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,500. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. UPDATED 08/31/2011 *LN THE DEALER REPAIRED THE BRAKE LINKAGE BY INSTALLING A GREASE FITTING, BUT IT DIDN'T RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. . THE SECOND TIME IT FAIL, THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED A NEW BOOSTER WAS NEEDED. UPDATED 09/01/11

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 PONTIAC GRAND PURSUIT. THE CONTACT WAS AT A STOP WHEN SHE NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE. THE HOOD WAS OPENED AND FLAMES BEGAN POURING FROM THE ENGINE AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT A SPECIALIST WOULD CONTACT HER AT A LATER DATE.THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 227,000.
