Owner report 11575310 · 2024-03-04 (March 4, 2024)

As a result of service on this vehicle that was provided by Nissan of McKinney in McKinney, Texas the vehicle was intentionally returned to the owner after servicing in an unsafe condition. The service included removal of a trailer hitch receiver and electrical harness that had been installed earlier. After the service and the electrical harness removal, the vehicle was left with exposed electrical conductors underneath the rear bumper that are exposed to the external contaminated road environment. This results in a potential for electrical …

Owner report 11590426 · 2024-05-23 (May 23, 2024)

4 separate times now when driving the vehicle the vehicle has sputtered and died. The first time we were on a road driving at around 40mph and were able to coast into a parking lot. After a few minutes the vehicle restarted a we took it to the dealer the next day. The first 2 occurrences were in January of 2024. The 3rd occurrence was on April 23,2024. At around 9:30 PM, I was on my way home from the store and driving at 55mph when the vehicle suddenly died and was coasting. I was able to coast into an empty school parking lot. The Pathfinder…

Owner report 11592880 · 2024-06-06 (June 6, 2024)

when stoped at a stoplight the engine shuts off. when you take your foot off the brake and move to the accelerator, the transmission shifts to neutral. This is very dangerous because it's the last thing you expect and when your on a step hill and rolling backwards it takes a moment to act. If a child or pedestrian was behind the vehicle at that moment or a car up close it could be terrible. I have reported it to the dealership and have an appointment this coming Monday morning to have them address the problem. Not a good situation to be shift…

Owner report 11594959 · 2024-06-17 (June 17, 2024)

I was at a stop sign the auto start stop was on. The car stopped engine off while at the stop sign. I heard a chime Ive never heard before, pressed gas pedal and didnt move. Realized the car was off and now was in neutral. It took me a couple minutes to get the car back on and continue on my way. This a brand new car at the time had approx 1025 miles on it. I have now made an appt at the dealership to trouble shoot the issue.

Owner report 11607239 · 2024-08-08 (August 8, 2024)

Upon purchasing the vehicle, the headlights are not bright enough. There are several threads on reddit talking about this issue. Some people say they are fine, but others are reporting that they have almost hit curbs and other items due to the lack of density. The coverage is far and wide, but the visible light in all conditions is horrible. I had a previous 2021 Nissan Murano with LED headlights and they blew this out of the water. Same for a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The rating on the headlights is not "Good" but "Acceptable." These are unsafe! In s…

Owner report 11612997 · 2024-09-06 (September 6, 2024)

Since I purchased the 2024 Nissan pathfinder in October 2023 I have had multiple issues with the glass windshield and visibility issues. The problem normally occurs when it rains and a white film comes on the windshield making it sometimes impossible to see while driving the vehicle. The problem gets worse at night if its raining because the glare from the light makes it impossible to see anything while driving. On two occasions while driving the car while raining especially at night I have almost ran off the road because the white film on the …

Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

24V154000 · Air Bags:Frontal:Driver Side:Inflator Module

Reported: 2024-02-27 (February 27, 2024)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024 Titan, Frontier, Infiniti QX60, Pathfinder, 2023-2024 Sentra, Versa, Kicks, Infiniti QX50, and 2023 Rogue vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the driver's air bag inflator may absorb moisture, and cause the air bag to deploy improperly.

Consequence: An air bag that deploys improperly may not protect the driver as intended during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the front driver's air bag assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 10, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's numbers for this recall are PD103, PD104, and PMA34.

24V176000 · Seat Belts:Pretensioner

Reported: 2024-03-05 (March 5, 2024)

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024 Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60 vehicles. The lap belt pretensioner in the left-side front seat belt assembly may be improperly secured, due to a missing rivet. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208 "Occupant Crash Protection," 209 "Seat Belt Assemblies," and 210 "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Consequence: An unsecured lap belt pretensioner will not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the left-side front lap seat belt pretensioner assemblies as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 18, 2024. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Owners may contact Infiniti customer service at 1-800-662-6200. Nissan's numbers for this recall are PD106 and PD107.
