Owner report 11528370 · 2023-06-22 (June 22, 2023)

Car abruptly changed from mph to kmh. All safety aspects stay in mph, including speed limit and alert. So while on highway going 65mph, suddenly speed said 116kmh. But speed alerts were still saying “65”. Pro pilot on and car abruptly slowed down towards 65kmh on highway. Only way to change mph to kmh and back is to have car at complete stop, scroll to menu on steering wheel. Click it. Scroll to language. Click that. Click three more times. These options are completely locked out while the car is moving. Due to the danger of this happenin…

Owner report 11528776 · 2023-06-25 (June 25, 2023)

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to address a pressing issue concerning the car I purchased from your dealership on January 21st of this year. Upon further investigation, I have discovered a discrepancy related to the labeling and assembly information of the vehicle, which has led to concerns regarding its eligibility for tax credit. According to the label affixed to the car, it states that the "Final Assembly Point" is in Los Angeles. However, upon verifying this information with the Energy Department of the United States, it wa…

Owner report 11532760 · 2023-07-17 (July 17, 2023)

Approximately 1.5 hours after taking possession of the vehicle, the Nissan Aria Evolve+ experienced a catastrophic brake system failure. Upon driving the vehicle home from the dealership (40 miles), the vehicle was parked inside the garage with the front facing the garage door. That is, it was backed in. 30 minutes later after arriving from the dealership, an attempt was made to drive the vehicle. As soon as it was put in drive, the vehicle started rolling forward even though the brake pedal was being depressed. Immediately it was clear th…

Owner report 11545004 · 2023-09-17 (September 17, 2023)

The car spontaneously shut down. "EV OFF" displayed on the screen. I was in the middle of the road and unable to turn on the car or shift into neutral to push it off the road. I had to wait over an hour for a tow while in the road. This appears to be an increasing problem as many owners are reporting the same issue on the Nissan Ariya electric SUV Discussion Group page on Facebook.

Owner report 11545330 · 2023-09-19 (September 19, 2023)

While coming to a complete stop using manual braking the vehicle appeared to lose power. The infotainment system went black and reset. The car itself did not need to be restarted and the manual brakes were still responsive. Additionally there is a recurring loud popping/cracking noise during normal driving (not charging).

Owner report 11554648 · 2023-11-11 (November 11, 2023)

Happened to me and my wife few times to try to put the vehicle in reverse gear and the car starts warning us to put the shifter in P and no matter what it does not go into gear. After ignition cycle it will operate properly, but that could be a safety issue at certain scenarios. The car doors are fully closed when this happens.
