Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2026 G5 and 2025 T-Series school buses equipped with certain QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Consequence: An unlocked wheelchair can move during transit or during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2025. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 25-117-QUS.

Micro Bird USA, LLC (Micro Bird USA) is recalling certain 2026 G5 transit buses equipped with certain QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
Consequence: An unlocked wheelchair can move during transit or during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2025. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 25-117-QVC.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2022-2025 MB II, T-Series, and 2021-2026 G5 school buses. The power cable providing electricity to the air conditioning control board may have a loose connection to the power stud on the board.
Consequence: A loose power cable connection may cause the control board to overheat and melt, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the power cable and power stud as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 2, 2026. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 25-118-SUC.

Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2003-2026 MB II, 2006-2026 G5, and 2015-2026 T-Series school buses. An installation error may prevent the wheelchair tie-downs from locking, leaving the wheelchair improperly secured.
Consequence: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit or a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and secure the anchor screw cap as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2026. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 26-120-AUS.

Reported: 2026-05-06 (May 6, 2026)
Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2026 G5 and 2024 MB II school buses built on a GM chassis and equipped with a second air conditioning compressor kit. The drive belt pulley may contact and damage the the oil lines.
Consequence: A damaged oil like may leak, increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the oil lines, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 29, 2026. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 26-121-OUS.
