I had a forward collision with 2 cars. My brake has been failed and forward collision warning system failed. I leased the car because of the safety features but I am really disappointed. Since I had my kids in the car with me. It was a really horrible experience and I can't drive the car anymore because of the safety issues.

The contact owns a 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS. The contact stated that while reversing, the collision avoidance system inadvertently activated, causing the vehicle to abruptly stop. Additionally, while driving forward, the failure occurred, causing unknown messages to be displayed and alarms to be activated inside the vehicle. When operating the vehicle, the MBUX system will switch the User Profile without warning. When doing this it will reposition the driver seat for the new profile which causing interruption to the driver operating the vehicle. During the unexpected change the driver seat and the external mirrors will reposition to the switched User Profile. This has been reported to the Dealer (Mercedez Benz of Tampa) numerous times. - Emergency braking, Yes available. - It's a fatal issue. My family and I are at collision risk. - No they always say “Not duplicate the issue” -Inspected by the dealer. - the collision warning Sound went off. I was driving on the highway by speed 60 mph and no cars were behind me and the car in front of me was so far and suddenly the emergency brake sound went off and the car suddenly stopped with hard and terrified brake and all the seat belts had tightened up.

While exiting the vehicle, the vehicle shut off. The vehicle automatically locked after closing the door. The contact's child became locked inside the vehicle on several occasions. Reported: 2023-06-05 (June 5, 2023)
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2022-2023 EQS 450, AMG EQS, EQS 580, and 2023 AMG EQE vehicles. A software error in the electric drivetrain may cause a loss of drive power.
Consequence: A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the electric drivetrain software, free of charge. Owner notifications were mailed beginning July 19, 2023. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2023060009.

Reported: 2024-02-16 (February 16, 2024)
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2023-2024 C300, AMG C43, S580e, S580, Maybach S580, Maybach S680, AMG SL43, AMGSL63, GLC300, EQE350, EQE500, EQS450, EQS580, AMG EQS, 2023 S500, AMG SL55, AMG EQE, 2024 E350, E450, AMG C63e S, CLE300 Coupe, CLE450 Coupe, and GLC300 Coupe vehicles. The 80-Amp fuses may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause the fuses to fail.
Consequence: An 80-Amp fuse that fails can result in a sudden loss of drive power or a loss of critical safety functions such as the restraint systems or instrument cluster, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Additionally, there could be an increased risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the main fuse boxes, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 5, 2024. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2024030008.
