The contact owns a 2020 Maserati Ghibli. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the driver’s side sun visor independently lowered, covering a large section of the driver’s side windshield. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed that there was a failure of the sun visor arm. The replacement part was ordered; however, the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,400.

While driving around 45mph I began to smell a burning scent. This intensified and smoke began to enter the cabin of the car. I pulled over and called 911. After opening the hood the fire department extinguished a small fire in the engine compartment just forward of the driver steering wheel area.

While driving my 2020 Maserati Ghibli on a busy street, the engine suddenly seized without warning. The vehicle abruptly lost power, and I had to maneuver to the side of the road while traffic was flowing around me. Fortunately, I was able to avoid a collision, but the situation posed a serious risk to my safety and that of other drivers nearby. The back up camera does not work . It is having the same issues in the current recall for newer models. It works very intermittently. Maybe works one out of 10 - 15 times.

The back up camera does not work in my car. It works on occasion, very rare occasion. There is an active recall for this same issue with the manufacturer but according to my VIN it’s not included but I’m having same issues as the other cars are having.
