While driving my 2020 Maserati Ghibli on a busy street, the engine suddenly seized without warning. The vehicle abruptly lost power, and I had to maneuver to the side of the road while traffic was flowing around me. Fortunately, I was able to avoid a collision, but the situation posed a serious risk to my safety and that of other drivers nearby. While driving around 45mph I began to smell a burning scent. This intensified and smoke began to enter the cabin of the car. I pulled over and called 911. After opening the hood the fire department extinguished a small fire in the engine compartment just forward of the driver steering wheel area.
